Premier and Super Sports Teams

At the YMCA we offer two divisions for our sports teams - Premier and Super.

YMCA Premier Sports
This the highest quality competitive youth sports program for the athlete looking to take full advantage of his or her abilities with a high focus on developing skills. Premier Sports are a more intensive experience with more experienced coaches and more practices. Teams will also travel to other YMCA’s for at least half of their games.

YMCA Super Sports
This division focuses on the individual athlete and his or her spiritual, mental and physical development. One of the major goals of this division is to facilitate learning and sportsmanship rather than a polished performance. Rules are often molded to or modified for the age or skill level of the team.

Adult Basketball

This is a non-practice league for adults 18 years of age and up. Games are held on Tuesday and Thursays between 6:00pm and 10:00pm. The program is run twice a year - at the Barco-Newton Family YMCA in the spring and at the Dye Clay Family YMCA in the fall. Members play for $50 and non-members play for $100.

We will watch as images change right before our eyes! We will navigate their nerves with experiments and real world applications using their sense of touch. Be ready to stick out your tounge as we explore the chemisty behind taste buds. Children will even explore vibrations, pitch and sound waves, too! Members join us for $10 and non-members join us for $20.
