Dye Clay Family YMCA
You Can Take Control
Did you know that 1 in 3 adult Americans is at high risk for diabetes? Our Diabetes Prevention Program is a 24-session class to help participants learn about healthier eating, physical activity and other behavior changes to prevent or delay the onset of type 2 diabetes. A new class is launching at the Dye Clay Family YMCA on Friday, May 25. For more information or to see if you qualify, visit Member Services or contact Lisa Peabody.
Summer Day Camp
We know kids work hard during the school year and look forward to the arrival of summer. So, when the last bell rings, head to the Y for Summer Day Camp, where kids of all ages will develop new skills, discover a new adventure and make new friends along the way. Register online, or for more information on camp and special offers, stop by Member Services.
Workout Orientations
At the Y, we're here for you every step of the way. That's why we offer special sessions to help members learn more about our facility equipment. Whether new to the Y or just wanting to learn more, our Wellness Team will teach and show you ways to improve workouts with our cardio and strength training equipment. Visit Member Services for more information.
Parties at the Y
Are you planning a birthday party for your son or daughter and can't decide what to do? Have it at the Y! Visit Member Services or contact 904.272.4304, for more information or to book your party today.
Youth In Government
Let your voice be heard. Our Youth In Government (YIG) program gives high school students the chance to learn first-hand how our state government operates all while earning college credit. Students will engage in political debates, write their own bills and have the opportunity to compete nationally with fellow YIG participants. For more information, contact Leslie Cook.
Volunteer at the Y
Volunteers at the Y make a lasting impact right here on the First Coast. With our focus on youth development, healthy living, and social responsibility, there's something for everyone to share their passion and strengthen the foundation of community. To learn how you can help, stop by Member Services.
PrYme Time
PrYme Time provides a safe place for children before and after school. Kids receive help on their homework and take part in educational activities that reinforce what is learned at school. They also learn how to interact with other children and adults, while making new friends. School is just around the corner. Visit Member Services to sign up and learn more today.
Community Partner of the Year
The Clay County School District is the 2011 recipient of the YMCA of Florida's First Coast E. William Nash, Jr. Legend Award for Community Partner of the Year. The district received the award at the second annual Y-Bash. We honored the school district for its nearly 30-year relationship with the Y and its commitment to enrich the lives of Clay County students and their families. Together with the Y, all 26 of Clay County elementary schools provide quality, affordable and accessible before and after school child care for more than 1,400 students.
