JOB 101
Get a hands-on experience on the finer points of finding, getting and maintaining a job. Our fun, interactive workshop is designed just for teens, ages 15 to 18. Cost is $10/person to participate. Splash Bash
Join us on Saturday, May 19, 10:00am - 12:00pm, for an interactive, educational event provided by Safe Kids of Northeast Florida. In addition to learning various tips on water safety, kids 15 and younger will be swim tested for the summer and participate in junior lifeguard activities. Best of all, this event is free for Y members!
Mom's Morning Out
We know that moms work hard raising their families. That's why we offer all moms a morning out! We'll provide quality care for your children to enjoy play time and be in a safe and secure environment while you enjoy a morning off! You Can Take Control
Did you know that 1 in 3 adult Americans is at high risk for diabetes? Our Diabetes Prevention Program is a 24-session class to help participants learn about healthier eating, physical activity and other behavior changes to prevent or delay the onset of type 2 diabetes. A new class is launching at the Brooks Family YMCA on Saturday, June 23. For more information or to see if you qualify, visit Member Services or contact Lisa Peabody.
Summer Hiring
With summer just around the corner, we will need more talented leaders to help keep our pool safe. We are now hiring lifeguards and swim instructors to join our team. Summer Sports Camp
Keep your little athlete active while developing sports skills and confidence in our Summer Sports Camps. We offer a variety of sports to choose from, including basketball, cheerleading, t-ball, fag football, soccer, lacrosse, and volleyball, with an emphasis on teamwork, sportsmanship and having fun. Learn to Swim at the Y
Join us at the Y this spring to swim here and stay afloat. Our youth swim lessons teach personal water safety, stroke development, water sports and games, rescue and personal growth skills to help kids feel more confident and safe in and around the water.
