• Provides intern practical experience by observing and participating in day-to-day conduct of projects related to fields of interest.

• To provide opportunities for application and development of professional methods and skills through actual practice. Emphasis is placed on developing competence in basic professional methods such as analysis, fiscal management, planning, record keeping, promotion, programming, teaching, member services and evaluation.

Responsibilities: Under the guidance of the Aquatics Director, the Head Lifeguard is responsible for assisting in the administration of the Aquatics department and possesses skills in human relations and marketing of all programs. Responsible for the safety and friendly environment of members, guests, and program participants using the Williams Family YMCA pool and Jessie Ball duPont Campus pool; maintain pool area cleanliness; check and record water chemistry levels, etcetera.
Requirements: At least (3) years of experience as a lifeguard. At least one to two (1-2) year of experience being a Head Lifeguard. Current YMCA lifeguard certification preferred. American Red Cross certification or Ellis and Associates license accepted, but YMCA Crossover class is required. Current YMCA swim instructor certification is preferred, if not then needs to be trained within 6 months. Lifeguard Crossover and Swim Instructor courses are available online at firstcoastymca.org under Y University. Pool operator certification/license is preferred, if not then needs to be trained within 6 months. Applicant must possess and maintain current CPR/PR, AED, O2, First Aid certifications. McArthur Family YMCA is currently recruiting reliable bus drivers to pick up YMCA children after school from Yulee Primary and Yulee Elementary and transport them to the YMCA Kid’s Campus in Yulee. Position offers competitive pay with the opportunity to pick up extra hours within the program.

Requirements:
Position requires a current CDL license, a good driving record and previous experience driving a bus would also be preferred. Successful candidates will also need to complete background checks/drug testing.

Responsibilities: Full-time position available at the McArthur Family YMCA for an energetic and driven Wellness Floor Associate/Personal Trainer. Job expectations include/not limited to interacting with members in order to develop strong relationships, consult with members about exercise goals, and design exercise prescriptions that promote the five components of fitness, among other tasks. Other responsibilities will be conducting fitness orientations, taking members through services offered through the Consultation Cards, cleaning equipment, maintaining an organized Wellness Floor, and working on various projects that promote health/wellness. Responsibility: Looking for an energetic and driven Wellness Floor Associate/Personal Trainer. Job expectations include/not limited to interacting with members in order to develop strong relationships, consult with members about exercise goals, and design exercise prescriptions that promote the five components of fitness, among other task. Other responsibilities will be conducting fitness orientations, taking members through services offered through consultation cards, cleaning equipment, maintaining an organized wellness floor, and working on various projects that promote health/wellness. Work Hours: Tuesday & Thursday 11:00 am to 4:00 pm, Friday 2:00 pm to 8:00 pm and rotating Saturday s. Pay rate: $12.00 - $15.00 depending on experience.

Requirements: Certified Personal Trainer. CPR/AED/O2 certified preferred. A strong work-ethic and personal skills necessary to interact with the members at the branch is also required.
