In the News: Y’s Wallace Qualifies for Junior Olympics
Haylie Wallace, 10, of Fernandina Beach, a member of the YMCA Flyers swim team, qualified for the Junior Olympics after competing in the 50-yard backstroke during the TYR Short Course Winter Invitational swim meet, which took place Nov. 6-7 at the Bolles School in Jacksonville.
Wallace, the daughter of Tanya and Greg Wallace, has been competing just since 2009. She swims year round for the YMCA Flyers, coached by Mary Donn Bowman.
