At my peak, I weighed 283 lbs. My doctor told me I had a thyroid problem, heart palpitations and high blood pressure. I knew it was time to get back to a healthy weight, because I didn’t want to take blood pressure medicine. I joined the YMCA and started taking group exercise classes. Body Attack helped me tackle my weight problem for good. So far, I’ve lost 144 lbs, and I owe it all to the Y. I’ve even inspired my son to start coming to the Y with me – that makes me feel really good!
