San Marco Family YMCA Closed.

Dear San Marco Community,

Since its opening in 2006, the San Marco Family YMCA has worked very hard to provide quality programs and services that the community could embrace. We had high hopes for the facility to serve a large portion of the community, especially the growing population of families. As a charitable, not-for-profit organization, the YMCA has a responsibility to provide resources where they are needed most. After repeated attempts to attract more members to the facility, we have come to the conclusion that the community demand for a YMCA in San Marco is just not strong enough at this time for us to continue providing significant subsidy. After much prayer, thought and deliberation, our Board of Directors have made the difficult decision to close the San Marco Family YMCA, effective June 30, 2008.

Operations have permanently moved to South Metro Family YMCA. We look forward to serving members at this beautiful facility, which is only 1.5 miles from San Marco.
