Welcome to YMCA School Age Services

PrYme Time is the YMCA state licensed school age child care program offered before and after school at Clay County Elementary Schools. YMCA certified staff provide children with a fun, safe, comfortable environment that promotes the YMCA's core values of caring, honesty, respect, and responsibility. Daily Activities include homework assistance, outdoor playtime, arts and crafts, games, healthy snack, fitness, character development, sports and fun with friends.

Take Stock in Children is a statewide education initiative serving students in all 67 Florida counties. Take Stock in Children is emerging as one of the country’s most successful public-private initiatives to overcoming child poverty, academic failure and youth crime.

CIRCUS FIT IS HERE!

Considering the recent findings released by the New England Journal of Medicine that 1 in 3 children are considered overweight or obese, the YMCA of Florida's First Coast has partnered with the CircusFit program established by Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Circus. CircusFit is a fitness program developed to encourage America's youth to lead active lifestyles by combining the fun of circus skills with stretching, strength building and aerobic exercise.

CircusFit  will be introduced to more than 1,500 children throughout Clay County. The CircusFit program will be offered at 24 YMCA after school sites starting in January.

CircusFitSM  MOTIVATES KIDS TO MOVE!
The spectacular circus performers at Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey® are also accomplished athletes who need to be in top physical condition, making them ideal “real life” role models who can encourage young people to be active and fit.

Through the CircusFit Program, the Ringling Bros. acrobats, clowns, high wire and trapeze artists, and many of our other performer-athletes help show youth an awe-inspiring and action-packed approach to health and fitness – motivating them to get up and move with games and activities that are more play than work.
