My Y Week
My Y Week is March 22-26, so come out and have fun at the Y while supporting a great cause. All proceeds from My Y Week will benefit the Strong Kids Campaign. The theme for the week is basketball’s March Madness, so be sure to work out in your favorite college basketball team’s colors! For more information and a menu of suggested donation amounts for each day’s event, stop by the member services desk.
Monday – Train the Trainer
Get back at our trainers for putting you through those intense workouts! Just pick out a work out package for Scott, Matt, Jeff, Lauren, Mike, or Sandy and make THEM feel the burn.
Tuesday – Deal or No Deal
Think you have negotiation skills? Work out the right deal and win terrific prizes just for playing along. The top prize is a $125 credit towards anything at our branch.
Wednesday – “At the Car Wash”
While you’re inside working out, let the YMCA youth clean your car!
Thursday – Longest Shot
Whether it’s 3/4 of the court like Miles Simon or from the top of the key like Christian Laettner, if the shot you make is the longest of the day, you’re the winner! Winner will receive a free month of membership.
Friday – Bake Sale
After a long week of working out, take home the championship trophy… fresh baked snacks!

First Coast Kids Triathlon
On May 2, more than 400 kids between the ages of 5 and 15 will race to the finish line at the First Coast Kids Triathlon. Triathlons consist of four components - swimming, biking, running and transitions. If children can swim four laps in a pool and ride their bikes for 20 minutes, they can successfully complete a kids triathlon. All race distances are set by the USAT and are designed to be challenging, yet achievable for first-timers. In fact, 80% of last year’s participants were first-timers!
Several branches throughout the First Coast will offer free training programs to get kids ready for the big day. The Winston Family YMCA will offer a training program starting the week of March 8 on Saturdays from 10:00am-11:00am.
