Teen Programs
The mission of the Winston Family YMCA is "To put
Christian principles into practice through programs that build
healthy spirit, mind and body for all." The ACCESS PASS
is one of the programs created to keep our middle-school youth
involved in positive and productive programs between the hours
of 2-5pm on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays. Programs were
created to develop and strengthen each participant's mind,
body and spirit through a variety of classes offered and led
by trained YMCA staff professionals and community leaders.
Mind:
Homework Support, Life Skills lessons and Nutrition
courses
Body:
Strength Training, Sports League tournaments,
competitions and awards, Self-Defense classes and Rock
Climbing
Spirit:
Self-Confidence, Character Development, Etiquette, and
Social development classes
Providing options for Teens to choose from enables them to
begin their maturing process by allowing them to make
decisions that will benefit their lives mentally, socially and
physically. Making these decisions helps our teens to take
ownership of their lives by taking a stronger and more active
role in their own development.
Youth Certification Class
Required for all youth ages 9-14 who wish to use the
wellness center.

Sign up at the front desk:
- Tuesday: 9-10 year olds, 4:00pm-5:00pm
- Wednesday: 11-12 year olds, 4:00pm-5:00pm
- Thursday: 13-14 year olds, by appointment
- Every other Saturday: 9-10 year olds, 12:00pm-1:00pm
11 years old & above, 1:00pm-2:00pm
Pre-Teen Yoga
Flexibility, strength and muscle tone improves as the spirit, mind and body work together in harmony.
- Ages: 8–11 years
- Days / Time: Tuesday (4:15pm-5:00pm) & Friday (4:00pm-4:45 pm)
- Location: Studio C
- FREE to YMCA Members!
